Can I Bum A Smoke?
Okay, so not your typical post for me, but I found it humorous. In our tough economy, there are more and more people that you might classify as homeless or bums. I am not poking fun of these folks. I know times are tough and rough times can happen to anyone.
So today a homeless person comes up to me as I am smoking a Swisher Sweet Little Cigar -don’t ask why I smoke these, it’s a long story. They look like cigarettes, but are actually little cigars. The man simply asks, “got an extra smoke?”. I say sure. I grab a Swisher Sweet from the pack in my pocket and offer it to him. He takes one look and turns his back and walks away. No, “I am not interested”. No, “not my brand”. Nothing. He just walks away. I feel so rejected. I can’t even offer a smoke to a homeless person without being rejected.
